SKD61 material is one kind of hot work die steel under JIS G4404 standard. Katalor will manufacture SKD61 hot work mold steel round bars, flat bars, square bars and hot rolled plates.
JIS SKD61 mold steel equivalent grades have EN/DIN 1.2344, AISI H13 and GB4Cr5MoSiV1.
JIS SKD61 hot work mold steel is characterized with high mechanical strength, high wear resistance, as well as high tempering resistance, good shock resistance, good thermal conductivity, high hardenability, combined with good machinability and polishability. Refined through an electro-slag-remelting process and a tailored thermo-mechanical processing, this hot work grade can achieve very high levels of toughness.
