5Cr8MoVSi is a modified variant of A8 steel under the ASTM A681 standard; it belongs to the high-carbon, high-chromium, molybdenum-vanadium alloy steel family. This steel features excellent hardenability, toughness, and dimensional stability following heat treatment, enabling it to maintain superior operational performance even in a high-hardness state.
 
Applications of 5Cr8MoVSi Material:
Used for manufacturing punches and cold forging dies with a hardness of 55–60 HRC.
Suitable for the production of non-metallic cutting tools.
Ideal for applications requiring high wear resistance and high-precision machining.

Carbon (C): 0.48–0.53
Silicon (Si): 0.75–1.05
Manganese (Mn): 0.35–0.50
Phosphorus (P): ≤0.030
Sulfur (S): ≤0.015
Chromium (Cr): 8.00–9.00
Molybdenum (Mo): 1.25–1.70
Vanadium (V): 0.30–0.55
