Grade: 3Cr2Mo
Standard: GB∕T 1299-2014
Category: plastic mold steel
3Cr2Mo material is a plastic mold steel. It has good comprehensive mechanical properties and high hardenability. This steel can make the steel with larger cross-sections have a uniform hardness, and has good polishing performance and high surface finish. When the steel is used to manufacture a mold, it is generally subjected to a quenching and tempering treatment, and the hardness is HRC 28 to 35 (that is, pre-hardening), and after being cold-processed into a mold, it can be used as it is. In this way, the use performance of the mold is ensured, and the deformation of the mold caused by the heat treatment is avoided. Therefore, the steel grade is suitable for manufacturing. Medium-sized and precision plastic molds and die-casting molds for low-melting tin, zinc, and lead alloys.
Vacuum degassing and refining treatment is pure steel, suitable for plastic molds requiring polishing or etching.
Pre-hardened state supply, no need to be directly used for mold processing in heat treatment, shortening the construction period.
After forging and rolling, the structure is dense, 100% ultrasonic inspection, no porosity, pinhole defects.
3Cr2Mo plastic mold steel has good hardenability and certain toughness, and can be carburized. The surface hardness of the steel after carburizing and quenching can reach 65HRC, and has high heat hardness and wear resistance. Since the supply state has been pre-hardened, it can be directly processed, polished and assembled.
