DC-53 material is a cold work die steel whose strength and toughness approach those of high-speed steel. DC53 cold work moldsteel has good strength and toughness under proper heat treatment. The high temperature tempering hardness can reach 62-63HRC.

The heat treatment hardness is higher than SKD11, the high temperature (520-530°C) can reach 62-63HRC high hardness after tempering, and the DC53 exceeds SKD11 in terms of strength and wear resistance. The toughness is twice that of SKD11. The toughness of DC53 is prominent in cold work die steel. The tools made with DC53 rarely crack and crack, which greatly improves the service life. The residual stress after the wire cutting process is small, the residual stress is reduced by high temperature tempering, and the crack and deformation after the wire cutting process are suppressed. Machinability and abrasiveness exceed those of SKD11. DC53 is superior to SKD11 in terms of machinability and abrasiveness. The use of DC53 increases tool life and reduces machining processes.
