Cr12MoVcold work mold steel is a Chinese standard steel material. The equivalent material for GB Cr12MoVdie steel is D2, 1.2379 and SKD11. Cr12MoVdie steel products are produced in hot rolled plates, flat bar, round bars.
Due to the alloy elements adding of chromium, molybdenum and vanadium, which improves Cr12MoVsteel's hardenability. Cr12MoVcold work mold steel products have highersteel hardenability, quenching and tempering hardness, wear resistance and strength than Cr12 material.

Firstly,low quenching low back:for the use of low temperature environment, Cr12MoVsteel has good toughness with the tempering temperatureandthe hardness decreasedSecondly, called high quenching high, secondary hardening with strong red hardness, and can be nitriding, the surface hardnessisto further improve, up to 68-72℃ heat treatment recommendations.
Annealing: 820-880℃ Hardness: ≤ 229HB
Quenching temperature: 1010-1030℃, fast cooling
Tempering temperature: 550-650℃, tempering three times, does not recommend the use of the maximum tempering temperature. * Hardness: 43 -53 degrees HRC
